Have you ever mapped the story of your life? The ups. The down turns. Have you laid it out and looked at the themes that define your actions today?
I recently did just that.
Looking at a map of your life explains a lot. I have a better understanding of why I choose some of the things I do. The subconscious fears and shame that account for the filters of my decisions.
What’s the benefit of knowing this information?
The power to change the outcome of my own story. At the end of my life, I do not want my past mistakes to imprison me in regret like bars blocking escape. I want to choose beyond my historical events.
How do I do this?
Every choice can be filtered through the end of my life.
If I choose A, will it lead to the outcome I want? Will it carry me to the place I’d like my life to end? If not, then I need to make a different decision, and act accordingly.
Only I can choose how my story ends. Even God gives me free will. So if the outcome opposes my desires, I only have myself to blame. I can do this at home or on the job.
How do you want your story to end?

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live….
